When Should I Do A Hop Latent Viroid Test?

Growers should consider HLVd testing:

• Every new clone or seed lot
• Bi‑annually on mother stock

• Finding: One of ten mothers positive
• Action: Destroy infected plant, clean tools with 10 % bleach, require negative HLVD certificate on all incoming cuts.
